Deola Sagoe – “Ori Oke”

Ori Oke is derived from the Japanese word “Shibori” and the Yoruba word “Aso-Oke.” Both words describe methods of creating the traditional cloth of the respective cultures. This is a collection inspired by the similarities Deola Sagoe sees within the Japanese and the Yoruba style of dress.” -Deola Sagoe

Although Deola looked to tradition, the end result was lively and youthful.  The vibe is futuristic glamour I would describe as a Nicki Minaj meets Beyonce aesthetic.  Here are my favorite looks.
