Greetings, I had to share this stylish e-card sent from the lovely ladies of Cocco&&Breezy. Happy New Year!
“The Coccolily Josephine bag was my favorite bag to work on.” Tennachie Yankey
The Coccolily vintage inspired handbags sold out within weeks when they debuted last season. Mais bien sûr! Who doesn’t love Italian leather? So earlier this year the brand announced that they would be introducing a new line of handbags, ( see here ), starting with the release of the “Josephine” bag. Well here it is! (Adding this to my wishlist).

As the Holidays near our favorite brands will begin realeasing new products for us to covet, add to our wish list, or gift to friends and family. And so it begins with Bape ; the Japanese lifestyle brand has released the Type 3 Bapex watches this week. Heavily inspired by the iconic Rolex Daytona, the watches come in steel with black or white dial options. Sure, it is not a Rolex, but the Bape head definitely looks nice on the dial of the timeless watch and of course comes at a fraction of the price.

The Nicholas K presentation by siblings Nicholas and Christopher Kunz once again gave us casual chic for Spring Summer 2013. Layer upon layers of light fabrics in their staple of earthy tones were fashioned into hooded tops, bomber jackets, cashmere sweaters, cargo pants, cardigans and shorts. The highlight of the collection? The belted silk pants and shorts, paired with stylish frames for the women… The menswear looks were all deadon sporty chic.
Elle.com got to sit down with Nicholas Kunz to discuss the inspiration behind the collection:
ELLE: It looked like your collection was made for a world traveler. Where did that vision come from?
Nicholas Kunz: It was the ’70s film Soylent Green, which predicted what was going to happen in NYC in 2022. It had this futuristic, nomad feeling that was interesting for us since we’re really organic in our lifestyle. It talks about how there are all these technological advances, but people are reverting back to pureness and a minimalistic life.
ELLE: The movie is pretty grim and forecasts a lot of pollution, poverty, and problems from the greenhouse effect. Are you worried about the future of Manhattan?
NK: I’m not pessimistic [about it], I just feel like people will appreciate nature more, and they’ll want a little more simplicity and to streamline their lifestyles. For us, it’s about a versatile wardrobe. When you go on a trip, can you bring one small suitcase and not have to worry about things? I don’t want to bring complicated things everywhere. I don’t want big luggage. I don’t want to worry about things wrinkling.

Absolutely beautiful; the Burberry tablet cover features black full-grain leather, brass studs throughout and an engraved brass clasp fastening. It’s listed as a menswear accessory, however, I think this is merely a matter of taste not gender….

“The Louis Vuitton man is an elegant enthusiast, well-groomed down to the last detail, relishing the rich, brushed gleam of USB keys, bill clips, and cufflinks, or the sophisticated pop aura of jewellery with stylised emblems. He amps up his look with stoles and shawls in precious blends of silk, linen or cashmere and seasonal variations on iconic prints (blue Damier and khaki Leopard).” – Bengt Enrique

Since its creation in 1984, the Hermès Birkin bag has been the ultimate symbol of luxury fashion, and exclusivity. Hermès manufactures all of their leather goods by hand; the company boasts that each item is constructed start to finish by the same leather craftsman. One bag may take between 18 and 24 hours to produce..
The bags were named after English-born actress and singer Jane Birkin and can typically fetch a price of as low as $9,000 to as high as $150,000, according to reports. The price of the Birkin increases depending on the material it is made from.
On Dec. 6, an anonymous bidder decided to pay $203,150 for a red Hermès Crocodile Birkin with White Gold & Diamond Hardware sold by Heritage Auctions in Dallas. This transaction has broken the record for the sale of a handbag at auction. The mind-boggling price of the Heritage auction bag owes to its construction materials: crocodile leather, 18-karat gold, and diamonds.
